What I like about the clips are they are clear. I can clip the L shaped clips anywhere on my music stand and not have to worry about them blocking my view of the sheet music I am trying to read from. The end of the gig they fit well inside of my music binder. The music stand clips are beneficial to me if I am using them to hold down one sheet of music or and entire booklet of music.
None that I can think of. These are plastic. I would imagine if you stepped on them they would snap and you would be back at the drawing board.
The music stand clips are made out of a durable clear plastic that should fit well on just about any music stand. I tried it on the 'standard' music stand as well as those small stands that fold up into a bag and the clips worked flawlessly with both stands.
