OnBoard Research Corporation The Intellitouch Tuner Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought this tuner at a music supplies store in New York. I needed a tuner that was small/compact and easy to fit in my pocket. The other tuners in the store were the same old thing over over again, that you have to use with a cable. The intellitouch tuner was recommened to me. The tuner is very versitile, this intellitouch tuner picks up the vibration from the instrument and tells you exactly what pitch the key is at. The tuner comes with a hard shell case that goes on your belt and is easy to carry around. The tuner is approximately $51.00 US.
The intellitouch tuner has a RED LCD back light. This is perfect when I tune my instrument in a dark area or even under a bright light. The LCD screen is very easy to see under any sort of light. The tuner comes in a hard shell case that can clip on to your belt and is always at your side when in need of a tuner. When the tuner is clipped on to the instrument it can be rotated at angles of 360 and 180 Degrees, which means no matter what angle you are at it is always visible.
One problem that I have encountered is that the intellitouch tuner does not come with and instruction manual. You have to have some sort of knowledge about a tuner to be able to use this tuner.
Another problem that I have encountered with the intellitouch tuner is that, the area that you are going to clip the tuner to cannot be to thin or to thick. The tuner only has a minimal clipping range.
The construction of the tuner is basically normal. It's rectangular in shape and is made of tough plactic. The LCD screen in the center and the MODE and SELECT buttons on the top and bottom left hand side of the LCD screen the power button is to the left. One screw connects the swivle clip to the tuner. The houseing for the two 3 volt battries are located to the back of the LCD screen.
If you are always on the go,and always in need of a tuner and you don't want to carry something to big and bulky all the time, and you don't want to have to deal with all these cords I personally like and will recommend this product to anyone. Lyndon rated this unit on 2003-01-01.
