Qwik Tune Automatic Chromatic Tuner Reviews 2 / 5 based on 1 reviewsI bought this unit in April 2001 for my bass guitar. I bought it at a music store in the NC mountains. I paid $28 for it.
Almost nothing. It works OK for bass guitar I guess. Trying to tune a guitar is another matter altogether!
I recently bought an Angus Young Gibson SG and have tried using this tuner to get it in tune and I tell you this tuner cannot possibly tune a guitar. It flip-flops from note to note so rapidly that it's hard to get the tuner to settle on the correct note long enough to get a reading! Then when I finally get a string to hold the green "in tune" light, it is horribly out of tune compared to the other strings. I can have every single string read "in tune" yet when I strum a chord it's all a jangled mush!
Construction and quality seem to be adequate. The battery connection(which was the problem with my old tuner) looks to be well made.
This tuner sucks! Jim Halloran rated this unit on 2001-10-09.
