Rotosound AMT 530 Reviews 5

Clip on tuners are all the rave. I can't blame anyone they make sense, are fairly accurate and cost around $20. I heard Rotosound was coming out 2 of them and I was able to review them for a blog I write.

I reviewed the AMT 530 specifically for Rotosound. Brand new this will cost $20. Out of the 10 or so others I have tried, The Rotosound holds its own as a good clip on tuner.

It clips on easy to my headstock. It features a pretty high tech metronome. I can accent any meter up to 9 beats from speeds of 30 bpms up to 260 bpms. The metronome also has a sound on and off option with is helpful for any sort of practicing. There is also a backlight option.

The battery is a pain to install. There is a tiny lip the battery needs to sit under. Also the writing on the battery needs to face up.

The buttons were well placed. You really need to press into them to power the tuner on. This is good because there will be no weird gigbag tuning which is the cell phone equivalent of butt dialing!

If you want a clip on tuner that is accuracte and priced nicely with a metronome thrown in, check out the AMT 530.
