Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I had read a great review of the ToneCube and wanted a pro mid-cut. I bought this off the same guys via their website www.sounds-creative.com for £29.95. It came within 3 days.

It has two settings, acoustic simulator - which gives a beautiful miked up acoustic sound, and an extra mid/low cut which takes more out of the bass. the second setting gets an incredible telecaster twang out of my ES335! Both settings are also fully sweepable, so it is much better than the on-off of a coil tap. besides, my pickups aren't tappable either...

small sturdy black box, well packaged. nothing to go wrong really.

The Rhythm Master is the most versatile passive tone circuit I've ever played, and it's also damned cheap. But at the end of the day it's the sound quality that counts, and IMHO this is much better than the TBX, torres or ATN.
