They're definately worth their price. This professional set of DJing equiptment is easy to use, has an inlet for exterior sources such as computers that can play MP3s, and with its silver metallic covering and sleek design, people who see you spinning on these decks will be impressed simply by the way they look. And if you're just starting out like I am, that's a really good thing.
I wish that a beat-per-minute (BPM) gage was built into the unit. I have the most trouble matching beats between different records because not every song has the same BPM. I think that if the there was a meter identifying the beat count, then I would have an easier time matching the beats.
These turntables and mixer are well designed. Stanton, being known for its high quality, does not disappoint with this model. The construction of the turntables themselves is intelligent. The placement of the adjustment controls makes for convenient control of the music being played.
This kit is for everyone. Really. Whether a veteran in the business of DJing or just a beginner like me, these decks can make the dreams of anyone who wants to mix music a reality. Jeff Thompson rated this unit on 2003-12-02.
