Apex AMT1 Reviews 3 / 5 based on 1 reviewsPurchased at Long & McQuade, in Brampton Ontario for around $75.
The application idea of this unit is excellent - it's a box that mixes your mic with the monitor sound without having to go through recorder. For my application, computer based recording, it gives no-latency monitoring without having to have expensive gear.
The unit was suppose to work with phantom power mics, but created a hum when doing so. Also, the battery was a pain to get in.
It has good quality and tough construction, but the design is lacking, because of lack of space for the 9 volt.
Bottom line: Great concept, should work more on testing and design. I'm taking it back to purchase a Rolls PM350. Jason Johnston rated this unit on 2002-12-13.
