Zoom Q3 Handy Video Camera Reviews 5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsThe Q3 is a pocket sized point and shoot video camera built for the gigging musician or music fan. We have all done it, you search You Tube for your favorite artist and someone has posted a clip from their cheap digital camera and the sound quality is just dreadful. Zoom designed a camera to get a nice picture and even better audio quality.
These are now only $199. I think they are a little more expensive when they came out. I bought it to film my band to get a press kit together. I would highly suggest a few days of messing around with it before you actually need to count on it.
It is small and packs a ton of heat into the tiny camera. The camera accepts any SDHC card from 2 gigs up to 32 gigs. The sound quality rocks!
It is hard to get the video off of the memory card and edit it for final use, if you choose to either post it on You Tube or burn a DVD. I think I have it figured out, but I lost a full concert's worth of footage assuming it'd be easy. Once you get the learning curve, you're ready to record.
A plastic blue box. The button are a bit tiny. I would suggest getting a case similar to a glasses case to store this in.
Hey if you need a cheap way to film your band or concerts, once you get the hang of it, the Q3 will give you great sound and video. Billy rated this unit on 2011-05-24.
